HIV Confident Event

The HRC is proud to support the HIV Confident initiative as part of the UK’s goal of zero new HIV transmissions by 2030, reflecting HRC’s ongoing dedication to advancing Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in healthcare, while also promoting social value and fostering a more inclusive workforce.
To support this mission, HRC collaborated with Siemens Healthineers GB&I and the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE) to address the persistent stigma surrounding HIV—an issue that continues to harm the health and well-being of people living with HIV and remains one of the biggest obstacles to progress.
As part of this collaboration, a powerful event was held on Tuesday, 14th October at LIHE, bringing together voices from the patient community and NHS teams that have successfully built stigma-free environments. The insights and lived experiences shared during the event highlighted the critical importance of compassionate, inclusive care in breaking down stigma and driving meaningful change across the health system.
