Research inclusivity

We ensure that our research studies, methodologies, and outcomes are accessible, relevant, and representative of all populations, particularly those that have historically been marginalized or underrepresented.

A truly equal, diverse, and inclusive workforce to drive HealthTech research and adoption forward for all.

Research Inclusivity at GSTFT

We ensure that all individuals, irrespective of their background, are not only actively engaged in our research but also benefit from its outcomes. By fostering inclusive participation, we create a research environment where diverse voices and experiences are heard and valued. This inclusivity ensures that our findings are representative of a wide range of perspectives, making the results more equitable and relevant to various communities. Moreover, by providing access to these findings, we empower individuals from different backgrounds to contribute their insights, ideas, and concerns, which in turn enriches the research process. This collaborative approach enhances the overall quality of our work and increases its impact, as it is grounded in real-world experiences and addresses the needs of a broader population. Ultimately, this dynamic engagement strengthens the research’s potential to drive meaningful change and innovation for all.

Our vision is to actively contribute to improving the health of the population by supporting effective and innovative solutions being adopted into clinical practice. We bring together the vast expertise from GSTT and KCL and make it accessible to researchers and industry throughout the UK. Combining our clinical and research expertise, and the voices of our diverse and engaged local community, with the capabilities of industry collaborators we ensure that innovations that we develop work for the diverse patient population that we serve. We involve the public, patients and carers to ensure that our research has clinical impact. This helps to reduce inequalities such as those associated with -cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, gender and other protected characteristics.
