London Institute of Healthcare Engineering
On January 28th, a group from the local community visited the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering to learn about various career paths. This event was part of the My Life SC1ences project, supported by the HRC. In addition to speed mentoring, attendees participated in brief talks from professionals in the medtech field and toured the Surgical and Interventional Engineering labs, where they witnessed research firsthand. Dr. Nick Byrne, co-Theme Lead for heart disease in children, brought several of his 3D-printed hearts and shared insights into his research.
